Frida Khalo puts the pain in pain-t 

A woman on track to a life full of expression and joy, 

Quickly taken away when a train track put her life off track. 

A vibrant young woman, and a vibrant paint canvas,

expressing stories full of pain, love, and identity. 

A woman full of defiance and resiliency, 

Boldy used art to paint the hearts and lives of many. 

Painting her pain, 

where millions of artists and humans alike could relate. 

A unibrow to express her identity freely.

Unconfined by the cages of societal roles and limitations. 

But confined to a bed… 

ridden with pain and mental burdens, 

Passed her time with poetry and art. 

Frida Khalo a woman full of resilience and transformation. 

Left a legacy of expression and advocacy for her own pain and others. 

Painted a new world where controversial conversations could be made.

The biography of Frida Khalo told through canvases   

Khalo, a young girl born in Coyoacan Mexico. 

Bold and authentic from the start, unconfined to societal rules set out for her. 

A brave, creative, and fierce spirit to guide her. 

A train accident impaled her, leaving a hole in her life that would never be filled.

Unable to conceive, bed ridden with chronic pain and depression. 

Used her art to paint over the great sorrows she faced. 

Married to Diego Rivera, another painter,

Who ultimately painted over her… 

Misunderstood and unseen by her husband, Khalo endured it all. 

A political reformist, 

A poet,

A painter,

Khalo has unapologetically done all her heart has called her to follow through creative expression.

The impact kahlo has had throughout the years has been plenty.

Khalo has reformed gender fluidity.

Khalo has reinforced feminism and woman expression freedoms. 

Khalo has Mexican nationalism pride and LGBTQ pride. 

Kahlo used her paintbrush to paint the lives of many,

Used her paint brush with creativity and expression in a world not ready for it,

Without fear. 

With pain. 

Without health.

With resiliency. 

Without constant joy. 

With passion. 

Khalo has transformed her pain, with a single paint brush and canvas. 

United many through the human experience, 

Her legacy lives on as an inspiration.
